Our safaris are made all the more enjoyable by the five-star
lodges and luxurious permanent tented camps we have chosen
for your stays. Many lodges are newly erected facilities with
stylish African architecture and decor coupled with all of
the modern conveniences one would expect. Their locations
provide commanding views of primeval vistas. All are particularly
noted for their gourmet food and outstanding service.
If the term "tented camp" conjures visions of the
cramped, no-frills scouting trips of your youth, forget them.
Our camps are permanent and spacious. |
Erected
on platforms under large, thatched roofs, each has its own private
veranda and incomparable view. Interiors are equipped with mosquito-netted
windows and sewn-in floors covered with colorful African throw
rugs.
They are tastefully furnished with comfortable chairs, desks,
luggage holders, bedside electric lamps, and large, cozy beds
with crisp linens and comforters. Each tent is equipped with
its own interior hot water shower, flush toilet, sink, and electrical
outlets. Daily laundry and room service are available, as are
complimentary early morning pots of tea or coffee and a light
snack before breakfast.

During
the evenings you are escorted from your tent to the dining area
by friendly "askaris" who also provide walking safaris
around the camp during the day. The personal service you will
receive provides the added touch that fosters images of the
classic safaris of yesteryear.
After dinner, lounge or mingle around the warmth of enormous
interior stone fireplaces or outdoor fire pits where you can
relax to the haunting night sounds of Africa |
